One of Wagner's all-time great multi sport athletes, Ed Peterson was a standout for both the Seahawk basketball and baseball programs. On the basketball floor Ed was recognized as one of the best players in the Metropolitan area. He finished his four-year career with 1,172 points, which places him 15th on the all-time Wagner scoring list. A 6-2 forward, Peterson was also tough under the "boards", grabbing 824 rebounds in four years, which is the sixth-best total ever. On the baseball diamond he was equally impressive. A standout first baseman, Peterson was one of Wagner's top sluggers.
