Frank Melos
Football
Class of 1962

It was 1960 and Mickey Sullivan had announced at the beginning of the season, "We're gonna win `em all". He had said that in 1957, his first year as head coach of the Seahawk football team. Sullivan predicted that by 1960 he would coach the team to a perfect record. If there was thunder and lightning on that 1960 team, Frank Melos was the thunder. When a touchdown was needed, and the goal line was in sight, Frank was not to be denied. He amassed 232 career points and played defensive cornerback for a stingy defensive unit. As the catcher on the baseball team, Frank was equally aggressive at bat and in the field. Frank graduated in 1962. A self-employed manufacturer's representative in New Jersey, Frank and his wife Eleanor have two children, Laurie and Glenn.
